I only saw two today but apparently, there are twenty. Who knew!
For the next couple of weeks Chirk Castle’s snowdrop walk is open and well worth a visit. Chirk is in Powys but only just, so if you’re staying at Moonrise lodges Shropshire its only 40 mins away.
This National Trust property has something for everyone on a day out. Beautiful walks, the castle and dungeons to explore, den building and animals to visit. For those looking for something new to try you can hire Segways and navigate through 500 acres of stunning scenery in style.
Today the sun was out and it was a beautiful day to visit. The snowdrop walk takes you through the beautiful formal grounds and into woodland. Here the snowdrops cover the ground like a blanket. The Woodman’s hut has a welcoming open fire and hot drinks. Kids would love it here, it’s like stopping at the Three Bear’s house in the woods! A lovely day out and the snowdrops gave hope that Spring is around the corner.
