Coronavirus FAQ’s

Our beautiful farm in the Shropshire Hills is spread over 300 acres making it a fantastic place to enjoy a safe break away.

The health and safety of our guests has always been of the upmost importance to us and our lodges have always been cleaned to a high standard, however, right now ‘normal’ procedures may not be enough to control the spread of Coronavirus, therefore we are employing extra measures to maintain the safety of our guests and staff. We hope that if you have any concerns or questions that you will find the answers below, if not please don’t hesitate to give me a call and I’ll be happy to talk them through with you.

Are we open and accepting bookings?

We will be reopening on Wednesday the 2nd December following the introduction of the new tier levels in England. Shropshire has been placed in tier 2. Before booking please check your own area restriction level via on GOV.UK as you will be required to adhere to the rules for your own area when in Shropshire. This will be under review by the government on the 16th December

If you are not able to travel as you are in a tier three area or for any other reason please let us know in writing as soon as possible.

We are accepting new bookings and these come with the risk free cancellation protection to give you peace of mind. However if you are in a tier three location 3 days before departure you will have to cancel your booking, receiving a 100% refund.

What have we done to limit the risk of transmitting the Coronavirus?

  • In line with the guidelines provided by the trade associations, ASSC and PASC UK we have conducted a detailed Risk Assessment to ensure the safety of our guests and staff.
  • We will continually review our Risk Assessment to take into account any changes in guidelines or legislation.
  • Our Risk Assessment is available on request.

How have our cleaning protocols changed?

  • We have completed training in Covid-19 holiday let cleaning protocols
  • In-house training and practice sessions have been undertaken with housekeeping staff.
  • Where appropriate we are using products to disinfect high contact areas of the lodge such as light switches, door handles and other hard surfaces.
  • The housekeeping team wear appropriate PPE and follow our strict cleaning checklist and protocol.
  • Our cleaning standards and checklist are available on request.

What will be different about your stay?

  • Before your holiday we’ll send you some useful information about your holiday and also check that you are fit and well to travel. All the information about things to do in the area, where to eat out etc. are now all on-line and you will receive a link to access these.
  • There will be a contactless check in and check out but we will still be checking the tubs everyday and would love a distanced chat if we see you.
  • We ask that after settling in you ‘check-in’ by scanning the NHS COVID-19 test and trace QR code.
  • Before the end of your stay you will receive a final email detailing what to do before you check out. Nothing scary here just stripping the beds, putting the dishwasher to go and opening the windows.
  • If you become unwell during your visit we ask that you contact us straight away.

What if you need to cancel your holiday?

  • We are protected by Master Cancel which removes the stress and worry from booking your holiday.
